Bromyard Town 1 Wellington 1

BROMYARD grabbed a late equaliser in a well-contested West Midlands League Premier Division local derby on Tuesday.

Winger Rik Halion stole ahead of his marker in the 80th minute to tap the ball in and earn the home side a valuable point.

Bromyard started the match positively but it was Wellington who carved out the best first-half chances, with Jerry Griffiths and Willie Lindesay both going close.

Wellington had the better of the early second-half exchanges and, after Tom Herbert fired over the bar from a good position, leading-scorer Peter Wallace side-footed home the opener. It looked like being the winner until Halion swooped.

Hinton 4 Llandrindod 1

Hinton struck twice in each half to book a semi-final place in the Presteigne Otway Cup at Kington.

Mitch Davidson opened the scoring for Hinton on the half-hour with a fine header and a Llandrindod defender deflected Darren Prew's cross into his own net in the 40th minute.

The Welsh club reduced the deficit in the 52nd minute but Hinton sealed victory with goals from Ross Semple and Matthew Ingram.
