Bromyard moved into the semi-finals of the HFA Charity Bowl after a comfortable 4-1 victory over visiting Weston.

Luke Johnston opened Bromyard's account on 10 minutes when he drilled in a superb 25-yard free kick and then Alwyn Weaver, who has rejoined the club, scored twice before the interval to give the hosts a commanding 3-0 lead.

A depleted Weston side produced a much-improved display in the second half and pulled a goal back in the 55th minute when Adam Bridges beat a defender and fired home a shot from 20 yards.

Paul Bridges almost snatched a second for Weston, but his cross-shot struck an upright, and Steve Turberfield completed the scoring, grabbing Bromyard's fourth goal in the dying minutes.

Robbie Banks' second-half strike gave Wooffer-ton a slender 1-0 home win over Wellington Rangers.

In a dull first period, the sides rarely threatened to break the deadlock, although Woofferton had a penalty appeal turned down after Banks appeared to have been tripped inside the area.

Wellington had their fair share of possession in the second half but failed to take advantage and Woofferton then took control.

The home team contrived to squander a number of goal-scoring chances before Banks eventually settled the tie when he broke free on the right-hand side and drilled in a fine shot.

Ross United Services' home clash with Ewyas Harold was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

l Cup holders Ledbury Town called off their tie with Leominster because their senior team had a West Midlands League fixture.

The HFA Cups Comm-ittee will be making a ruling on the matter.

l Timmy Powell snapped up a hat-trick in Westfields' emphatic 5-0 home win against Sutton United in a Hereford Times Herefordshire League Premier Division encounter.

Powell gave the Rotherwas-based outfit a dream start when he struck in the first minute of this one-sided clash. John Williams and skipper Richie Legdon also got on the scoresheet to complete the rout and earn Westfields a much-needed victory.

Fownhope recorded a 2-1 home victory over Pegasus in another Premier Division match.

Fownhope threatened early on and after Robert Jones had struck the crossbar, he deservedly headed home Richard Roberts' 20th-minute left-wing cross.

At the start of the second half Pegasus had a glorious opportunity to draw level, only to be denied by the brilliance of home goalkeeper Stuart Jenn-ings.

Pegasus continued to press but they were caught on the counter attack when, following a goalmouth scramble, Robert Griffiths doubled Fownhope's advantage from close range.

Although Williamson reduced the deficit with a brave header in the 75th minute, Fownhope held on for a well-deserved win.
