Bustleholme 0 Kington Town 2

AN impressive second-half performance saw Kington continue their recent good form and consolidate their position in the top three of the West Midlands League Premier Division.

Without the influential Danny Hill and Roy Jordan, Kington started slowly and were content to play the game in midfield. Chances were few and far between in a scoreless first period.

Kington stepped up their game in the second half and started to put Bustleholme under pressure.

Young striker Stuart New opened the scoring with a superb individual goal, picking up the ball some 40 yards out and beating two defenders before firing home an angled drive.

Kington went close to adding to the lead when Scott Jackson headed a Danny Moon cross against the crossbar and then a Ben Chambers' shot rebounded from a post.

Kington sealed their win from a free kick just outside the box when Ken Gwillim slammed home a thunderous drive which left the goalkeeper rooted to the spot.
