A THIEF who targeted property in Hereford to feed her drug addiction has been remanded in custody at Worcester Crown Court.

Michelle Farrow, aged 23, admitted theft of a £10 note from a house in Springfield Avenue and attempted theft at a hairdresser's in Hinton Road.

Her not guilty pleas to burglary at the two premises were accepted by the prosecution.

She also denied burglary at the Catflap in Commercial Road, Hereford.

The charge was left to lie on the file.

Released

Prosecutor Amjad Nawaz said Farrow, of Weoley Park Road, Selly Oak, had been released from jail only five months before the first offence in October last year.

She still had nine months of a previous sentence to complete and a judge had the power to add it to her new sentence.

Timothy Green, defending, said Farrow found it hard to keep away from drugs when she was released.

He asked for her to be assessed for a drug training and treatment order as an alternative to prison and for a pre-sentence report.

Judge John Cavell remanded her in custody but warned that all sentencing options were open.
