IT may not be the Riviera, certainly not with our inconsistent weather, and we may not have the stars flocking in their diamante yet, but the Rural Media Company in partnership with Herefordshire Council have commissioned a consultancy to undertake a feasibility study for a local film festival in Herefordshire and Shropshire to showcase international, national and locally-made films with a rural twist.
The feasibility study is funded by Advantage West Midlands and supported by the two county councils and the major exhibitors in both counties.
Sue Todd and Ron Inglis, renowned consultants with a national reputation in this field, with experience across the countryside from Stornaway to Plymouth, will look at the potential for a film festival between the two counties, where it would be based and what format it would take.
If you are interested in watching films, or have any experience of putting on film screenings then please contact Naomi Vera-Sanso at the Rural Media Company on 01432 344039 to offer your opinions.
