SOCIAL Services in Hereford have been busy setting up an aluminium drinks can collection.
Staff and volunteers from St Owens, Widemarsh and Southbank Resource centres are, with EnviroAbility and The Aluminium Packaging Recycling Organisation (Alupro), offering schools and other community groups a chance to earn environmental points that can make a difference to their own environment if they recycle their used aluminium drinks cans.
To mark the launch of 'Make things happen' in Hereford, MP Paul Keetch along with Herefords Mayor Alan Williams and councillors have put their weight behind the recycling programme.
EnviroAbility, with assistance from Alupro, have established an aluminium recycling centre which will be a resource for all those who wish to use it, including the Southbank Resource Centre in Hereford
These who are interested in saving natural resources or want to raise funds for a school or project, can give Chris from social services a ring on 01432 268258 to see how you can get involved.
