A long-established Ledbury business is seeking to expand its premises on the Bromyard Road Trading Estate.
Tom Wadams, owner and sole employee of Malvern Tyre Repairs, Unit 15, is seeking planning permission from Herefordshire Council for a 9,000 square foot extension to his present premises.
The extension, if approved by the authority, will be a new workshop area for Mr Wadams, who has been repairing tractor and lorry tyres for 21 years.
His current area, which doubles as both his workshop and storage space, will become just storage space.
Mr Wadams said: "Business is not too bad really. I had a bad year in 2001 with foot and mouth, like a lot of businesses in rural areas."
The extension will be a steel-framed, clad structure, similar to Mr Wadam's existing unit.
