THE ODDS appeared to be stacked against a win - but it was a small price to pay for a holiday! Especially when Jo Maklin won a £500 holiday voucher after she bought a Christmas draw ticket from the West Midland Labour Party. Mrs Maklin of Ryeland Street had a voucher donated to the Labour party by Co-op Travel (Midlands Co-op Society) on December 16. Herefordshire County councillor Chris Chappell presented Mrs Maklin with the voucher. He said; "I am delighted a local person has won. Again Labour has shown it is not just an urban party."
