Nottingham 2nd 36 pts Luctonians 2nd 7
LUCTONIANS 2nd gave a plucky performance against a strong Notting-ham team before crashing to defeat in the NCA Merit Table.
The Nottingham pack was much bigger and used this advantage to good effect to score four of their five tries through drives from lineouts.
The young visitors defended stoutly against a side which contained several players with National League 2 experience and frequently frustrated the home side with a well organised and disciplined defence.
Andrew Maher scored a fine individual try for Luctonians when he picked up a loose ball in his own 22-metre area to race 75 metres for a touchdown, adding the conversion himself.
Luctonians Development XV were far too strong for visiting Stourbridge 3rd and ran out 56-0 winners.
Tries were scored by James Powell (3), Nick Harrison (3), Rick Cleland, James Lawson, Andy Hughes and Dan Rawlings. Harrison (2) and Ricky Bray landed conversions.
