A WELL-known charity administrator is warning of circular letters asking people to post £10 to complete strangers.
Lance Marshall, clerk to the trustees of Hereford Municipal Charities, is urging people to destroy 'pyramid selling' letters immediately and not to respond.
He said: "I regard it as a dishonest money making scam, preying on vulnerable people.
"Several of these identical letters have been received by various Almshouse residents during the last six months, and they are worried.
"Any recipient should destroy such a letter immediately."
