When Norfolk House Sheltered Housing scheme in Leominster celebrated its 10th anniversary, an 'Auction of Promises' was all part of the fun.

Norfolk House is jointly managed by Marches Housing Association and the Herefordshire Council and offers accommodation for around 30 people who need varying degrees of on-going care.

One of the residents is Mrs Bruntnell and when she saw that one of the promises available through the auction was to have her room redecorated by Marches Housing Association, she put in a bid and was successful in securing the 'room makeover' she wanted.

The work was completed recently and the room was handed back to a happy Mrs Bruntnell by Marches Housing Director Chris Boote and Housing Services Officer for the scheme, Jane Spicer.

"I'm really pleased with it," said a smiling Mrs Bruntnell. "It needed brightening up a bit and it's done the trick!"
