FORMER Ledbury mayor Noel Roberts has partly won a planning battle with Herefordshire Council.
Mr Roberts, who still serves as a town councillor, appealed against Herefordshire Council's decision to refuse planning permission for a scheme at his home at Kimbrose Cottages, Falcon Lane.
The appeal was heard by a Government inspector, who concluded that Mr Roberts should be allowed to add a pitched roof to his existing ground floor kitchen. But the inspector supported council objections to plans to add a two storey pitched roof extension.
Meanwhile, an appeal against a separate council decision relating to Cosy Cottage, Baddymarsh Farm Lane, Lower Eggleton, has been withdrawn. The council had served a legal notice on appellant Mr L Llewellin saying a mobile home, shed and greenhouse at the property did not have planning permission and must be removed and the land reinstated.
