Eastnor visited Evesham on Saturday for their Crusader Worcestershire League Division One fixture.

EVESHAM v EASTNOR

Evesham elected to bat and soon were in trouble, losing three wickets for 16 runs in just four overs.

S Berry (82) and J Gregory (46) then added 110 runs for the fourth wicket before Berry fell to Arshad. Gregory fell to Jabran at 180 in the 38th of the 50 overs before a whirlwind 53 by I Prince destroyed the villagers. Just 17 balls and 18 minutes at the crease saw four sixes and five fours.

Tariq finally claimed his wicket on the fourth ball of his seventh over - the first three balls had all been dispatched for sixes, 251 was the final total with Tariq claiming 5-53, not bad after being hit for 18 in three balls.

Eastnor began slowly in their reply but lost Don Baker at 22 in the seventh over. Arshad continued to bat on well and with Nick Bollen (45) pushed the total on to 155 in the 37th over, a stand of 117, before he fell to Langstone.

Faisal fell first ball and Arshad finally succumbed at 176 in over 42 for a fine 87 runs (7-45). Langstone (5-44) continued on well claiming two more wickets before the Eastnor tail of Jabran and Jim Sandford shut up shop for the day for those valuable losing draw points.

Eastnor finishing on 179-9.
