HEREFORDSHIRE CBA met the English Civil Service BA in a match at Hereford Bowling Club and had four winning rinks in a 112-101 victory.
Colin Reading and Mike Hoffman skipped the joint highest winning rinks with 23-14 and 24-15 successes, and the other winning skips were: Derek Waters, whose rink was 12-4 down at 11 ends before making a remarkable come-back to win 18-12, and Jack Gray whose rink won a very tight game 19-18.
Dave Holloway's rink went down 16-15 and the rink skipped by Gerald Jones was defeated 26-13.
Herefordshire CBA visited Erdington BC Birmingham for a match against Warwickshire VP and won on five of the six rinks in a 129-94 success.
Herefordshire adapted much better than their opponents to the synthetic green and Gerald Jones skipped the highest winning rink to a 27-12 victory, followed by Colin Reading's rink who won 24-10. David White's rink won 19-13 with Dave Holloway skipping his rink to a 23-18 win, and Jack Gray's rink having a 19-16 success.
