MINSTER College's Nathaniel Singleton completed an impressive double in the Leominster Minor District Schools Athletic Championship held at Weobley High School.

In the under-14 boys' competition, the Leominster youngster won both the triple jump and the high jump.

Tim Clarke (Weobley) who missed out narrowly to Tom Bordeway (Wigmore) in the shot gained some satisfaction by winning the 200m and leading the host school to victory in the relay.

Amy Stevens (Weobley) and Susan Turrey (Wigmore) produced some fine sprinting in the under-13 girls' 100m and 200m respectively while Weobley held off a strong challenge from Wigmore in the relay.

Weobley's Karen Cookson completed a sprint double in the under-14 girls competition while just a tenth of a second saw Nick Aldrich (Minster) beat Ollie Barker (Weobley) in the under-13 boys' competition where the 200m saw winner Chris Connop (Weobley) and Carl Spruce (Bromyard) credited with the same time.
