NATIONAL Trust staff at Croft Castle are celebrating record visitor numbers. More than 40,000 people have visited the property so far this year, beating the previous record of 22,000 visitors in one year.
Croft Castle puts the achievement down to its £1.4m refit and its additional staircase and showroom which opened to visitors this summer.
House manager, David Atkins, said: "We are having a fantastic season and would like to thank all our visitors, staff and volunteers for their support."
