SIMON Kershaw has been appointed general manager of Bath Racecourse.
Formerly commercial sales manager of Bath and Hereford Racecourses, Kershaw has taken up the promotion following the departure of Drew Brown, who left the company recently.
Kershaw, aged 28, originally joined Hereford Racecourse in 2001 from the Tote, where he had been marketing executive.
Northern Racing Group managing director Rod Street, said: "Simon's promotion is well deserved. He has made very good progress since joining the company and now has the responsibility of running his own racecourse. I am sure he will do a superb job."
Following the restructure at Bath and Hereford, a new general manager will be sought for Hereford Racecourse.
