Bromyard 0 pts
Bishops Castle 17
Bromyard lost their first North Midlands 1 game of the season to a much larger Castle side.
From the outset Bromyard were going to struggle as Castle forwards kept the ball for long periods and were 7-0 up after 25 minutes.
Then followed Brom-yard's best spell of the game in which they came close to scoring. But on the stroke of half-time they conceded a try to trail 12-0 at the interval.
Straight from the kick-off Castle scored their third try and this proved to be the end of the scoring,
Steve Eversham saved Bromyard with a powerful tackle which resulted in the Castle player dropping the ball over the line.
This summed up Bromyard's spirit, as did man-of-the-match Giles Rivers who never failed to make yards. Winger Dan Goodson also impressed on his league debut, as did Ainsley Ralph at fly-half.
