A RECORD Kington Show on Saturday was a fitting swansong for 80-year-old general secretary Peter Collishaw.
Peter, who has been secretary for 16 years, has decided not to seek re-election at the next annual meeting of the show in March.
"It has been a wonderful time as secretary and it has been gratifying to see the show build in stature over the years.
"But this has not happened without the considerable and consistent support from so many people associated with Kington Show. My thanks go to so many for all for the support they have given me."
Show president David Williams paid tribute to Peter's work. He said he had done an excellent job, ably supported by his wife Brenda. They would be greatly missed.
