EIGHT Herefordshire Women's Institutes crossed knitting needles during a battle for honours at the Kingsland group show.
There was a huge turn out as women from the surrounding villages gathered to compete for seven cups in floral art, handicraft and cookery.
The results included:
Floral art: Brampton Bryan; handicraft: Shobdon; art and photography: Kingsland; the co-operative trophy: Shobdon; best in show for handicraft: Eardisland; overall trophy: Eardisland.
