HEREFORDSHIRE - a county his generosity had touched on a number of occasions - was well represented at the memorial mass for Sir John Paul Getty held in Westminster Cathedral.
Sir Paul, who was an Honorary Freeman of the City of Hereford, had given £1 million towards the cost of the Mappa Mundi Museum and Hereford Cathedral sent a strong contingent.
The tycoon and philanthropist will also be remembered for his support of the new Roman Catholic Church in Belmont Road and the SAS.
