TWO women went bald in aid of a Colwall pre-school on Monday.

Mums Tina Lloyd and Tracey Sturge decided to lose their locks to raise funds for the village's Bright Sparks pre-school.

Staff from A2 Hairdress-ing, Malvern, got the clippers out to remove their hair.

Before the event Tina said she couldn't wait to see what she looked like.

"We wanted to do this because it's handy to have a pre-school in the village and we don't want to lose it."

Jean Holley, playleader at Bright Sparks, said Tina had been an excellent fundraiser in the past and had organised numerous coffee mornings.

"I don't know if I'd be brave enough to get all my hair shaved off," she said.

So far Tina and Tracey have raised £250 for the nursery but would like more sponsorship. Anyone interested in donating should contact Bright Sparks on 01684 540061.
