PAUL Parry could be on his way out of Edgar Street after further interest from Cardiff City in the Hereford United winger.

Bluebirds' boss Lennie Lawrence has been keeping the 23-year-old under close scrutiny in recent weeks and watched him play in the 7-1 victory at Forest Green, when Parry scored a hat-trick, and in the home draw with Exeter City on Boxing Day.

Parry, who has played 201 matches for Hereford and scored 37 goals for the Bulls, proved his worth once again to promotion-chasing United with a late winner against Stevenage Borough on Saturday.

This season he has bagged nine goals in 28 appearances.

Cardiff, on the other hand, need something to pep up their season after losing at home to Sheffield United in the FA Cup third round on Saturday, their fifth successive defeat in all competitions.

At the time of going to press, negotiations were on-going with the Ninian Park club.

l Hereford have announced that, after consultation with the police, the games against Shrewsbury Town and Chester City at Edgar Street, on March 27 and April 24 respectively, will be all-ticket.
