A HEREFORDSHIRE woman is thrilled this week after the promise of a free holiday to take her parents' ashes to 'see' the jewels of the Nile.
Schoolteacher Floss Morgan has also been given a full refund by the holiday company, Thomas Cook, who grounded her planned trip to Egypt.
Miss Morgan of Kimbolton, near Leominster, last week told the Hereford Times about the deathbed request to take the ashes of her parents globetrotting.
Since the deaths of parents Mavis and Granville, Miss Morgan has travelled thousands of miles scattering their remains in various parts of the world, including Florida, the Caribbean, Gran Canaria and Portugal.
But Miss Morgan was taken off a Christmas flight to Egypt because the company's allocation of seats on the outward plane to Luxor was reduced by one and she was the last single passenger to have booked.
"Thomas Cook came up with the offer of the free holiday at the end of last week and they have also given me a full refund. I'm very pleased," she said.
Miss Morgan plans to take the seven-day River Nile cruise aboard MS Rosa Blanca next Christmas.
