TO commemorate the death of Edward Elgar, who died 70 years ago this February, BBC Radio 3 is recording a series of four lunchtime concerts featuring all of his major chamber works.
Beginning next Tuesday with The Sorrel Quartet and Martin Roscoe performing Milhaud La Creation du Monde and Elgar's piano quintet, the series continues weekly through to February 24. See listings on Page 126 for details.
All concerts will be held in Malvern Priory, beginning at 1pm. Tickets are available on the door and from Malvern Tourist Office on 01684 892289.
They will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3's lunchtime concert series from February 24-27.
