RICHARD Finney has returned to the first-team captaincy of Leominster Cricket Club for the next season in the Marches League Division 1.
Finney, a former captain, takes over from Russell Palmer who was elected vice-chairman at the club's annual general meeting at the Bridge Street Sports Centre.
Nick Palmer will be vice-captain to Finney, while Matthew Sparey continues as second-team captain with Tom Jones his vice-captain.
Richard Sparey succeeded Jeremy Finney as president, and other officers re-elected were Steve Powys, chairman, Calvin Allwright, secretary, Mart-in Dowe, treasurer, Dave Hodges, scorer, and Noel Withers, club captain.
A healthy financial position was reported and plans for the future included the provision of mobile nets for outdoor practice.
