THE renowned BBC war correspondent Jeremy Bowen will deliver a lecture at Hereford's Courtyard theatre to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day.
The lecture, From the Holocaust to Rwanda, lessons learned, lessons still to learn, will be delivered on Thursday, February 5, from 7pm to 8pm. The event has been organised by Herefordshire Race Equality Partnership and entry is free.
"Holocaust Memorial Day provides us with an opportunity to remember the victims of the Nazi persecution and ensure that valuable lessons are learnt from those horrendous crimes," said Neville Meredith, Herefordshire's race equality officer.
"We're delighted that Jeremy Bowen is delivering the lecture. He's reported from Rwanda so will have first hand experience of the atrocities that took place and will be able to give a useful insight into the lessons still to be learned," he added.
Tickets are available from the Courtyard box office, telephone number 01432 359252.
