Bromyard Town 1 Ettingshall 2

BROMYARD gave a dismal second-half performance as they surrendered an interval lead to crash to their ninth West Midlands League Premier Division defeat of the season.

They opened up brightly and looked the better team in the first quarter creating a number of chances before eventually taking the lead in the 28th minute when Mark Russell finished a fine solo run with a crisp drive.

They continued to dominated play for the rest of the half but were unable to add to their total.

Things changed 10 minutes after the break when Russell was forced to retire with an injury causing Bromyard to lose the rhythm and momentum which had enabled them to control play.

Ettingshall took their chance and came back to level on the hour through Lee Elliott.

Just when it looked as if Bromyard would at least share the points the referee spotted an off-the-ball incident in the box, involving Bromyard's Alex Kilgour.

He had no hesitation in awarding a spot kick which Elliott duly converted to grab the winning points for the visitors.
