FC PHOENIX, who have championed the development of girls' football within the county, are all set to make the move into adult football next season.

The club, which provides regular football for girls from the ages of eight to 16, now plans to enter a side in the ladies' football pyramid.

The club already field teams at under-12, under-14 and under-16 levels and also aim for under-10 in the near future.

To ensure that girls have the opportunity to progress and play in adult football, the club is setting up training sessions for their existing under-16s,as well as welcoming additional players to build a squad and management team capable of competing at a higher level.

The club are keen to recruit a manager, preferably a player-manager, as well as additional players, coaches and administrators for their ladies' team.

As an FA Charter Standard Development club, Phoenix's policy states that all coaches and managers working with teams should hold a minimum of the FA Level 1 Certificate in coaching football as well as a satisfactory CRB check.

The club would assist any potential candidates to achieve the Level 1 or 2 Certificate within a realistic time scale, should they not already hold these.

Anyone interested in joining FC Phoenix Ladies as a player, manager or player manager, coach or administrator should contact Dave Panniers on 01432 279759 or 07880 735245.
