ARMY bomb disposal experts were called to Brimfield on the Herefordshire/Shropshire border after workmen unearthed a mortar shell at a housing development.
Residents living near the site were warned by police to prepare for evacuation but after examining the device, experts established it was a harmless practice round filled with concrete.
