KNIGHTON UNDER-FIVES - Due to staffing shortages, Knighton Under-Fives has had to re-schedule its sessions. In future, the Under-Fives will be holding: Parent and Toddlers (for children aged 0 - 2 years) on Thursdays from 9.15am to 11am. New parents are welcome to join the group for coffee and to chat with other parents to see what Knighton Under-Fives has to offer. The new session for 2-3 year olds will now take place on Wednesdays from 9-15am to 11am and from 11.30am to 1.25pm. These changes will start on Wednesday, March 10, but the second session for 2-3 year olds will not start until, March 17. All other existing sessions will stay as they are. SNOOKER - There will be a public meeting to discuss the future provision of snooker at Knighton Community Centre at the centre on Monday, March 22, at 7.30pm. Anyone interested in supervising snooker sessions at the centre is especially welcome.

ACTION FOR PEACE - Knighton Action for Peace and Justice is supporting the All Wales Rally at Aberystwyth on Saturday, March 20, to mark Global Day of Action for Peace. The march will assemble at 10.30am in Park Avenue and move through the town to Castle Gardens where there will be a rally from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

COFFEE MORNING - Knighton Bowling Club will hold a coffee morning with a bring and buy sale at the Club House in Church Road on Saturday, March 20, from 1.30am to 12noon. The stall will include home-made pastry and cakes, plants, books, CDs, tape cassettes, bric-a-brac, nearly new, toys and tombola. Admission is £1 and this includes coffee and biscuits and entry into the lucky door ticket prize.

WEDNESDAY CLUB - Knighton and District Wednesday Club met recently in the Social Room, Saint Edward's Close. Mrs M. Cox, Mrs M. Chapman, Mrs I. Leeson and Mrs W. Davies were helpers. Winners in the raffle were Mrs M. Chapman, Mrs V. Parker-Smith, Mrs G. Moss, Mr D. Lewis, Mrs M. Kempson, Mrs R. Parry, Mrs P. Cadwallader and Miss V. Pugh. Marjorie Cox was questionmaster for a quiz.
