THERE were mixed emotions for 15-year-old Jo Arnold as Wellington went down after conceding three first-half goals in the Midland Youth Floodlit League Southern Division.
Arnold who has also represented Wales under-16, has signed a two-year contract with Nationwide League Division 1 side Derby County but his late goal for Wellington was not enough to earn his side a point.
Poor defensive play allowed Malvern to race into a two-goal lead and the home side added a third from the penalty spot just before the break.
Steve Brotherwood reduced arrears with a glancing header and Arnold then scored from a Will Perks corner but Wellington were unable to find a way through again.
