THE Jewson Herefordshire Sunday League Wye Guild Cup semi-final tie between Marden and visiting Vaga was abandoned midway through the second half with the home team leading 1-0.
The referee took the decision when a Vaga substitute, on the touchline and not having taken an active part in the play, refused to leave the ground after being requested to do so for a comment he had made. The outcome of the tie will now be decided by the Herefordshire Sunday League committee.
The incident did not play any part in the build-up to the abandonment. Derek Craddock had given Marden the lead after 33 minutes.
