The resolutions' meeting of Tref-y-Clawdd Women's Institute, chaired by Pauline Parker, was a scene of lively discussion. The Air Ambulance was praised and the government was urged to offer considerable financial support. The Welsh Assembly is generous to the Welsh Air Ambulance. The competition was jointly won by Judy Davies and Margaret Johnson. Draw winners were Mary Lowe, Norma Hughes and Sue Kelly. Next month's topic is Half an Hour and a Rug. All are welcome at 7.30pm in the Baptist Church School Room, Norton Street, on Wednesday June 2.

The amount raised at the Aymestrey WI jumble sale was a very disappointing £64. It was agreed that members try to think of other ways of fund raising in future. The summer outing to Bath is on Tuesday, June 8. The coach will leave Aymestrey Village Hall at 9.30am.

At their May meeting, Much Cowarne members were given a demonstration of make-up and Mrs Jane Hutton was given a face make-up.The next meeting will be at Stoke Lacy Village Hall on June 11. Dr Brian Savoury will be talking about Some Famous English Gardens.
