WITH fish showing everywhere, it seemed as if it would be an easy day for members of Hereford Fly Fishing Club as they assembled for their second bank competition of the season at Gailey Trout Fishery near Cannock.
But what sort of insect were the fish chasing?
It took until lunchtime to discover that the white buzzer, fished statically, produced aggressive and unexpected takes, but only when the slight breeze put a ripple on the water.
