BARON Knights celebrated a league and cup double when Leominster and District Pool League held their finals and presentation night at the Re-Rack Club.
Knights dropped just one point on their way to the championship and then beat Crown A (Dilwyn) 5-0 in the Knockout Cup final. Their star player Gareth Davies collected the averages trophy with a 100% record in singles matches and team-mate Keiron Bradford was next on 92.
Crown B collected the wooden spoon and the sporting trophy.
The M & M Sports Cup for the singles championship was lifted by Graham Peach (Barons Cross) who beat James Lines (Cross, Eardisland) 3-1 in the final. He beat Lawson Knott (Slaughtered Lambs) 2-0 in the semi-finals, while Lines accounted for Kevin Dorn (Barons Cross) 2-1.
Rob Soden (Rainbow Club) beat Gareth Davies 3-0 in the Plate final.
Connolly's Kevin Dorn and Russell Burke beat Gareth Davies and Keiron Bradford 3-1 in the pairs final.
A new ladies' champion was crowned after Yvonne Painter (Lambs) defeated Clare Hall (Rainbow Club) 3-2 in a closely-contested final. Clare had previously knocked out four-times champion Stella Atkinson (Lambs) in the semi-finals and Yvonne defeated Sally Jones (Rainbow Club).
Yvonne teamed up with her husband, Ronnie Painter, to win the last final of the night - the mixed pairs - against another husband-and-wife team, Ade and Vicky Jeenes (Cross). The Lamb pair edged home 3-2 in a close game.
