MAY FAIR - No plans for Sunday afternoon? Then why not join us for the Blakemere May Fair on Sunday. Everybody will be most welcome. The fun starts at 2.30pm. There will be games for children of all ages and face painting too. For grown-ups, there will be interesting stalls at which to browse and buy produce, plants and much more. Someone will win the first prize in the Grand Draw of £100. A NGS garden will be open in the village and nobody should leave before spoiling themselves with an afternoon tea, a treat for which the event, in recent years, has earned a fine reputation. Songs of Praise in the church, commencing at 5.30pm, will bring the day's activities to a close. All proceeds will go towards the cost of maintaining St Leonard's, the village church, and this year's special project, the refurbishment of its organ.
