CHURCH - A joint concert with Ang Passang, a choir from Trondheim, in Norway, and the Herefordshire Britten Singers, will take place in St Mary Magdalene Church, Eardisley on Friday, May 21, at 7.30pm. The programme will include madrigals, songs by Finzi, Faure, folksongs and music by the Beatles. One of the items in the Britten Singers repertoire will be a song composed in 2000, by John Saunders, to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £2 for children. The proceeds from this concert are for the church organ fund. The Pentecost Group Service, to celebrate the birthday of the church, will be held at 11am, on Sunday, May 30, at Brilley Church.
OVER 60S CLUB - The next meeting of the Eardisley Club will be on Thursday, May 27, at 2.15pm, in the Methodist Chapel, when Mrs Joyce Banbury will show slides.
ROYAL BRITISH LEGION - The Eardisley and District Branch will hold their annual coffee morning in the Curzon Herrick Hall on Saturday, May 22, from 10.30am.
WHIST - The next social whist drive at the New Strand, Eardisley is on Monday, May 24, at 7.45pm.
