AIRCRAFT owners and pilots in the Shobdon section - known as the Strut - of the Popular Flying Association will be welcoming planes from across the region at their second annual fly-in on May 29/30 at Shobdon Airfield.

Visiting pilots will begin touching down between 10-11am and continue during each day.

Group member Robin James said: "The Strut's first fly-in during the same weekend last year attracted over 90 aircraft from the West Midlands and beyond - we are hoping to beat this. Given the promise of good weather, light aircraft will be arriving and departing from Shobdon on both days.

"Members of the public are welcome to visit, see the sights and hear the sounds. It's an opportunity for the public to talk to the pilots."
