HEREFORDSHIRE'S David Park is hoping for a return to his early-season form when he tees up in today's lucrative Volvo PGA Championship at Wentworth after missing the cut in the last two European Tour events.
After a promising start to his first round in the Deutsche Bank SAP Open in Heidelberg last week, when he got to three under after seven holes, he started finding trouble and finished with a five-over-par 77.
A level-par second round of 72 gave him a two-round total of 149, three more than the weekend qualifying score.
This followed his failure to qualify in the previous week's British Masters at the Forest of Arden, and he has dropped down to 30th in the Volvo Order of Merit with a season's earnings to date of £155,000.
