A TRACTOR and farming heritage enthusiast will be calling on an Herefordshire farm during a lone ten-day charity ride for cancer.
Peter Kelly, editor of the magazine Tractor and Farming Heritage, sets off on the 1,086-mile ride next Wednesday through England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
And he plans to call on Whitchurch tractor enthusiast Derek Williams who with the help of some of his Border Counties Vintage Club friends is putting on an open day on Sunday, June 6, when some fifty tractors will be on view at the Chestnuts, Doward.
There will be a small admission charge at the open day for Help the Hospices.
Peter decided the time had come to tackle something challenging in a bid to raise £10,000 for Help the Hospices.
Those wishing to make donations should send them to Help the Hospices, c/o Tractor and Farming Heritage, Media Centre, Morton Way, Horncastle, Lincolnshire, LN9 6JR.
