WACKY WALKERS - Meet at the car park in front of the Primary School in Madley at 10.30am on Saturday. The four to five mile walk takes in 14 stiles and refreshments are available at the Red Lion Inn on returning.
ANNUAL PARISH MEETING - Mr R Mills (Kenchester) was elected c hairman and Mrs P Redshaw (Byford) elected vice-chairman. The Village Plan had been accepted and the completed document was now printed and ready for distribution. The chairman thanked Mr J Macklin (Bishopstone) for his chairmanship of the village plan committee, Miss S Hubbard (Byford) for her collation and writing of the document and Mrs P
Redshaw (Byford) for putting the whole document together on computer. The
parish council had voted to become a quality parish council by 2007.
LORD NELSON INN - The Lord Nelson Inn, Bridge Sollers, is understood to have closed its doors and there will not be any attempt made to renew the licence at this time.
