HORSE SHOW - Kington Horse Show and Agricultural Society is organising a fund-raising concert at St Mary's Parish Church on Saturday, June 26. The highly rated Pontarddulais Male Voice Choir has been invited to give a performance that evening. REEL GOOD FUN - Kington Past's theme this year is Come to the Movies - hence the giant Hollywood-style Kington lettering that has appeared on Bradnor Hill overlooking the town. On Saturday, June 5, High Street will be closed to traffic and numerous stalls set up.
WHEELBARROW NIGHT - Kington Festival's crowd pulling wheelbarrow night is on Saturday, June 12, while gala day with a carnival procession through the town, is on June 19.
PRIMARY SCHOOL - Kington Primary School's annual fun run and mini-fayre are on the afternoon of Saturday, June 12, when the fayre will have a tropical theme.
RECORD YEAR - Save the Children Fund's Kington branch has had another record-breaking year with £7,000 raised.
