WORK will be carried out on a section of pavement dubbed dangerous.
Herefordshire Council has agreed to carry out work on the two-tier stepped pavement which runs along most of Broad Street, after receiving reports of people falling and tripping there.
The lower section of the pavement will be repaired and resurfaced and the two steps will be painted white and yellow to make them more visible for people with poor sight or in wheelchairs.
In February, a person in a wheelchair actually fell off the pavement into the path of an oncoming vehicle. They were shocked but not hurt.
