CAMPAIGN FOR DRAWING - This week, artists helped out at Blue-ginger Art Gallery and café in Cradley to put up an exhibition of Pets on a Postcard as part of the national campaign for drawing, the 10th Big Draw exhibition. More than 300 entries from local primary schools in Cradley, West Malvern and Martley kept the team busy, and many more original pieces of artwork in the ‘grown-ups’ section including contributions from local artists at Stanley House nursing home, the Cradley small business breakfast group and other professionals Valerie McLean, calligrapher Rachel Yallop, illustrator David Brindley and Marie Therese King of Eek Batik. All the drawings are currently on display at the gallery until Sunday, and are up for auction to raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice. An evening for final bids will take place on Saturday.
