SCHOOLS across Herefordshire are being encouraged to take part in a fundraising week in aid of charity.
For a small donation pupils, students and teaching staff are asked to wear wild and wacky wigs, dress bizarrely or wear hoodies between February 9 and February 15.
The only condition is that they need to include orange – the colour of the Noah’s Ark Trust.
The charity, whose Hereford office is based in Wall Street, helps bereaved children in Herefordshire and Worcestershire and has already received a good response from interested schools.
“The response to date has been very encouraging with many schools signing up to participate,” said community fundraiser Liz Collins.
“It shows just how community-minded our local schools are and how keen they are to be directly involved in a fundraising opportunity which will benefit children and young people in their area.”
Local businesses can also do their bit by becoming involved in The Big Brew by making a small donation every time they make a cup of tea.
Alternatively, people can help Noah’s Ark by organising an event or activity.
