A HEREFORDSHIRE library is to undergo some exciting changes in the next two years because it will house local services.

Info in Herefordshire, Herefordshire Council’s centre for information, will be moving from Swan House in Ross-on-Wye to the town’s library.

Facilities will be updated and improved and the building will be extended, refurbished and changed to accommodate both services and provide better access.

Herefordshire Council will be putting plans for the project on display throughout January and are gathering comments from local residents.

The design and plans will be available for public consultation from today (Thursday) to February 3 at the library, the information office at Swan House, Market House Heritage Centre and Ross Town Council.

“We want to update our buildings and it makes economic sense for residents to be able to access services and information from one site.

“We want to make sure we get it right for local users and hope to gain lots of comments which we can feed back into the design brief,” said Adrian Blackshaw, cabinet member for economic development and community services.
