A VARIED and challenging programme has been devised by The Britten Singers’ founder and director Pamela White for the choir’s spring and summer concerts Rehearsals are already underway for their main concert at the end of April, which will feature a short work by Haydn, Salve Regina, madrigals by Monteverdi, motets by Durufle, part songs by Saint Saens and a selection of British folk songs.
“The Britten Singers have a large repertoire of beautiful folk arrangements,” says Pamela. “I think they are too often ignored by choirs.”
Pamela is always keen to hear from singers who would like to be part of a small enterprising chamber choir. For more details, call 01432 356757.
