PASSENGERS were evacuated because of a bus fire in south Herefordshire yesterday.
The bus caught fire between Ross-on-Wye and Whitchurch on the A40 at around 6.30pm.
It was put out before fire crews arrived and the ambulance service treated one woman for smoke inhalation.
Police led passengers to the safety of a nearby service station until they were picked up by a replacement bus.
