ROSS residents are being asked to give blood to help increase stocks after the summer break.
The National Blood Service is appealing for volunteers to attend blood donor sessions to build up stocks which can dip by as much as 10% during the summer months.
Cathy Davies, communications officer for the NBS, said: “With the school holidays over, people are starting to return to their old routines.
“We would like to ask people to add saving lives to their ‘to do’ list by becoming a blood donor.”
Anyone aged between 17 and 59, weighing more than 50kg and in general good health can give blood.
Donors are invited to the Larruperz Centre, Grammar School Close in Ross-on-Wye on Monday, September 8.
The sessions are 1pm - 3.30pm and 4.30pm -7pm.
Appointments can be booked by calling 08457 711711 or at visit www.blood.co.uk
